From an intimate bachata gathering at Hotel Barceló Cádiz to a citywide cultural festival at the Parador — the story of how a movement was born by the sea, and how it now opens its doors to dance as a wider, shared expression.
The 2025 edition gathered hundreds of dancers, teachers and visitors in the heart of Cádiz, with workshops, social nights and shows hosted at the Parador. Regional television and the local press covered the week, recognising the festival as a fixture of the city's summer cultural calendar.
Each year the festival has grown — in artists, in audiences, and in its relationship with the institutions and venues of Cádiz.

In 2026 we are evolving the brand, launching the festival as Cádiz Baila — a citywide platform that opens beyond bachata to embrace dance as a broader cultural and social expression. The same community, the same Atlantic city — with a wider stage and a deeper social impact.
It started with a small group, a sea breeze and a shared love of bachata. The first edition was hosted at Hotel Barceló Cádiz, a hotel partner that opened its doors and became, for several years, the home of the gathering.
Year after year, the event has been celebrated without interruption — with the only exceptions of 2020 and 2021 — bringing dancers from across Spain and abroad to Cádiz at the end of every August.
After several editions with the Hotel Barceló, the Parador of Cádiz opened its doors to us, allowing the festival to grow into one of the most emblematic venues of the city.
